Help to cure cancer through workplace giving
Workplace giving is a simple way to make a small regular donation that makes a huge difference over time. You can organise to make a direct pre-tax donation to TdC, it’s simple, low cost and an effective way to support our mission to find a cure for cancer. On top of this there are many workplaces who are part of a matching program where your company doubles your donation.
If we are going to find a cure for cancer and support those going through treatment, then every dollar counts so that we can change lives. And a small amount given every month has an incredible difference.
$20 per month
$20 per month provides a chemo wig to restore a cancer patients confidence
$40 per month
$40 per month will enable a child fighting cancer to attend a specialist camp with their family
$65 per month
$65 per month is a month’s living cost for a PhD research student
$80 per month
$80 per month can fund genetic sequencing of a cancer patient’s tumour
And the best part is that it is simple, this is how it works:
A – Speak with your workplace giving team or payroll officer and complete the appropriate forms
B – Your chosen donation is dedicated from your pay each pay before tax
C – Your generous support goes to TdC
D – You will receive a tax benefit each pay day
What if my workplace does not have a regular giving program?
That’s ok, workplace giving can be organised through the Australian Tax Office, all you need to do is visit their website here to find out more and apply.
Better still, why not become the workplace giving champion and be the person to start the movement at your workplace? All you need do is have the conversation with your payroll or HR teams to get the ball rolling, download the PdF and take it to your business leaders. Or reach out and the TdC team and we can help.

If employees come together and give a little over long period of time the impact to the cancer community is far reaching. Imagine if you encouraged your colleagues to raise money for Cancer research and Tour de Cure.
Workplace dollar matching
Many major Australian corporations understand their responsibility in making sure that Australian communities have a sustainable future. Which is why they set aside matching budgets to help support the fundraising efforts of their employees. It makes sense, if 1 in 2 Australians are impacted by cancer, there is a good chance that it will affect the wellbeing of their people and business. Make sure you reach out so you can have double the impact on cancer.
