Why I want to help cure cancer

Cancer is a horrible disease and these days you are hard-pressed to find someone who hasn't been affected in some way whether it be themselves or a close friend or family member. The prevalence with which cancer diagnosis occurs today is both encouraging and discouraging. People are seeking out medical assistance sooner and research is helping diagnosis and treatment but I think we can all agree to find a cure and ultimately prevent the disease from occurring in the first place would be our first choice. I believe research is the key and if I can assist even in a small way by helping fundraise and promoting the cause I want to.
