Why I want to help cure cancer

Since losing my mother in 2009 I have been motivated to raise awareness and support for cancer research, care and support programs. Last year I joined the Tour de Cure Family and raised over $24,000 riding from Sydney to Geelong raising awareness and vital funds for this amazing charity.

I ride because at times I feel that is all I can do, but it does so much more… trying to explain it is difficult.

I ride because it gets people talking about it.

I ride because the cause and purpose is bigger than I am.

I ride because breakthroughs are becoming more and more common, more and more sophisticated and more and more advanced, so much so, I feel we will see a cure for cancer in this lifetime.

I ride because people like Mum, Josie and all those fighting their own personal private battles deserve a batter chance.
