Why I want to help cure cancer

I have fair skin and fair hair. I have grown up on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Spending a bit of time surfing when younger, I have lost / blistered the skin on my back, nose and lips more times than I can remember. Only now being a little older with my skin specialist every 6 months scraping, freezing and cutting out a range of minor skin cancers and dysplastic nevi moles, and being told that I am in the high risk group to potentially develop a melanoma one day, I wish I had taken more care with my skin when younger. My reason for wanting to cure cancer is that I, and many others, may need that cure one day.
