Why I want to help cure cancer

I have been involved in research into cancer, and treating patients with cancer, throughout my career. As a clinician dealing with cancer patients, I know the challenges faced by patients and families, and the impact of successful therapies on their lives. Through my research into identifying and developing new treatments, as well as improved imaging methods to detect cancer, I hope to make a difference in improving outcomes for cancer patients. Tour de Cure has been vital in supporting our research efforts, and my involvement in this ride is part of a much larger effort to bring resources and public attention to this devastating disease, and achieve cures.
