Why I want to help cure cancer

Hi Everyone, the cancer fight continues on with some great successes and some not so good outcomes. Unfortunately, we lost my nephew Kieran at 22 to Leukaemia and another nephew Bernie is keeping his brain tumour in check and battling on. Both my nephews have had wonderful care and treatment from dedicated doctors and nurses. They are part of a long list of family and friends who have been affected by cancer. Helen my wife has had the all clear in the last six months from Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, but unfortunately we have lost Helen’s sister Liza and mother Shirley to cancer. And of course my mate Gordy who passed away from melanoma in 2013 at 47. Many other friends have had their battles with cancer and many are still here because of the new procedures and treatments that have been achieved by research. I ride so that more funds can be raised to help researchers cure this terrible disease.
