Why I want to help cure cancer

I have had a number of close friends & family who have suffered with various forms of cancer. Some have benefited from the advances in medical treatment & gone into remission, others have died. My own husband, Ray, suffered with Lymphoma for seven years. He had a number of different treatments over the years but never had a full remission & in 2012 his cancer transformed into an aggressive form. He had an initial, very short term, partial response to further treatment but his cancer continued to grow through further chemotherapy. He was very ill & finally died in January 2013. This first hand experience of the pain & suffering caused by cancer has made me feel driven to become more involved in fundraising towards research to find a cure for cancer.I appreciate your support as I fundraise to cure cancer.
