How it all started
In May 2007, what started over a coffee between two mates quickly involved three friends registering Tour de Cure as an Australian charity, which led to our inaugural cycling tour. Over six years Tour de Cure has cycled from;
- Brisbane to Sydney
- Melbourne to Sydney
- Brisbane to Cairns
- Sydney to Sunshine Coast
- Sydney to Melbourne
- Brisbane to Mission Beach
In May 2012, we completed our Signature Tour 2012 which saw the Team ride from Brisbane to Mission Beach. This was the biggest Team yet and we are proud to annouce that we hit our $2 million fundraising goal for 2012. Earlier in 2012, we held our inaugural 'Cancer Awareness for Country Kids' Tour in Victoria that aimed to not only raise funds to find a cure for cancer but improve the shocking Cancer statistics in regional Australia.
The 2013 VIC Country Tour rode from Lakes Entrance to St Kilda over four days and raised over $165,000. Later this year, we are holding two more Country Tours in QLD and NSW. Expressions of Interest are now open for these tours. To find out more, go to our Future Tours page.
As always, our fundraising is a collaborative effort and we look forward to growing the team, involving more Corporate and engaging with more communities across 2013 in order to raise over $2.3 million in the fight against cancer.

2012 Tour - Brisbane to Mission Beach
At 1,656km the 2012 Signature Tour was the longest to date. It was a huge effort by the whole team and we thank them for their hard work and fundraising efforts. In 2012, a total of over $2 million was raised - which surpassed our fundraising goal.

2011 Tour - Sydney to Melbourne
The 2011 Signature Tour rode 1400km from Sydney to Melbourne over 10 action packed days raised over $2 million for cancer research, support and prevention projects. A huge feat and an amazing accomplishment by everyone involved with the tour!

2010 Tour - Sydney to Sunshine Coast
The 2010 Tour took place in May and saw a team of 109 riders and support crew ride over 1,400km from Sydney to the Sunshine Coast. Last year set a new benchmark and raised an impressive $1.8 million, which eclipsed every expectation and goal set by the Tour.
For every dollar raised 70c went directly to fund cancer research, support and prevention projects through Tour de Cure’s selected charity beneficiaries.
